KNIDOS
Knidos was first founded in Burgaz,which is 2 km away from the center of Datça, by the locals who arrived from Argos in B.C.700 The lacals who became wealthy gradually marketed agricultural products thanks toships.The ships sailing to north, unable to north-west winds, hod to anchor and wait at the west end of Datça peninsula. For this reason, it was moved to the end of datça peninsula in order to build a harbor city ir B.C.360. Two harbours, one of which for the war ships in the north and the other for the merchant ships in the south, were built in the cape of Deveburnu. People of Knidos showed their wealth and strength by building treasure room in Apollon Temple in Delphi during this period. Well-known mathematican and philosopher eudoxus,sculptor praxiteles, who created the best shaped naked aphrodite statue, Skopas, Bryaxis, sostratos, who is the architet of Alexandria lightouse in Egypt lived in Datça.
The city was situated on a slope of a mountain like terraces. Aphrodite temple, Dor temple (pink temple), a small theatre has 5000 capacity, sun clock, graveyards and tombs, Acropolis, Wich is standing at 284m. height, holly area of Demeter, hollyarea of Apollon Karneios and stoa are a few historical sites that you can visit in Knidos, where the world's second important and great medikal school and center established. Besides, it's not known what the famous Aphrodite statue is, Demeter and lion statues in British Museum in London reminds people of Knidos.

Pamukkale and ancient Hierapolis
One of Turkey's greatest natural wonders is pamukkale, "the Cotton Castle" - formed over thousands of years by calcium-rich waters and now a spectacle to behold: a series of white terraces, filled with warm thermal water. Known to ancients as a curative spa as far back as the 2nd Century B.C., the extent of the remains of ancient Hierapolis attest to its prosperity. Hierapolis is also the largest known necropolis - or ancient graveyard!
Sedir Island & ancient Cedreae
As the story goes, Cleopetra and her lover, Marc Antony spent a great deal of time together on the coast of Asia Minor. Legend has it that they chose the island city of Cedreae upon which to make another of their holiday retreats ... and Cleopatra ordered sand to be brought across from the Sahara so that she and Antony might have a nice beach to frolic about on! There's plenty of evidence to support this story: it is said that the sand found on this beach is like no other sand found in the area and is not dissimilar from sands found in the Sahara. If you like ancient sites, you will enjoy a walk around the ruins of ancient Cedreae, one of the demes of the Rhodian Peraea - governed by officals from Rhodes from 408 B.C. up until the end of the second century A.D.

Rhodes
As the Greek island of Rhodes is just a short distance away, take a day trip to Greece and try some souvalaki! There are hydrofoils and fast cats running daily ferry services between Rhodes and Marmaris and the journey time is only about an hour
Jeep Safari
If you like the feel of the wind in your hair, you will love a guided jeep safari trough the scenic countryside around Marmaris! Drive down narrow country roads that and through thick forests of pine, alongside mountain streams and through rural pastureland. Watersports available on the Bay Marmaris. Try favourites such as jetskiing, waterskiing and windsurfing or join a group and scream around the bay astride a banana or sitting in a round "ringo". If you prefer to go it a slower pace, there are kayaks and seabikes a plenty.
